About Us

A cabinet shop, not a showroom

We build our boxes here, source doors and hardware from people who do it better than anyone, and finish every piece in our own shop.

Our Story

Built on the frustration of ordering someone else's cabinets

Luxe Carpentry Group started because of a recurring problem: a client wanted something specific, the catalog didn't offer it, and the answer was always "we can get close." Close isn't custom.

So we built a shop. Today we cut, assemble, sand, spray, and cure every cabinet we sell right here in San Diego. When a wall is out of plumb, we scribe to it. When a designer draws a 41-inch drawer bank, we build a 41-inch drawer bank. When a homeowner wants a green that isn't in anybody's finish deck, we mix it and spray a sample.

The work now splits about evenly between homeowners doing a once-in-a-lifetime kitchen, general contractors who need a sub that hits dates, and designers who are tired of hearing what isn't possible.

How We Operate

What we hold ourselves to

📏

Measure Twice, Then Again

Every project gets field-verified before a sheet of plywood is cut. Refits are expensive for everyone, so we don't have them.

📐

Draw It Before We Build It

We work in AutoCAD. Send your .dwg files and we build from them directly — and you get native .dwg shop drawings back, not just a printout.

💬

Say the Real Number

Quotes are line-itemed with real allowances. If something is going to cost more than you're hoping, you hear it during the estimate — not after demo.

🔩

No Hidden Downgrades

Full ¾" plywood construction, dovetailed drawers, Blum soft-close hardware, and 2K waterborne polyurethane are standard on every job, at every price point.

🧹

Leave It Clean

Floors protected, dust contained, debris hauled. The install crew cleans up before they leave every single day.

🛠️

Stand Behind It

Four-year written warranty on construction and finish. If something moves, sticks, or fails, we come back and fix it.

The Shop

Everything happens under one roof

Our San Diego facility runs a full production line built around an SCM Morbidelli X200 CNC machining centre. Every part is nested and cut on the CNC, which is why our boxes come out square and our reveals stay consistent across a whole run — a hand-cut cabinet is only as accurate as the person holding the saw.

Alongside it we run an enclosed spray booth with a filtered exhaust wall and dedicated lighting. Having our own booth is the part most shops skip, and it's why we can spray 2K waterborne polyurethane from Centurion and Renner — a catalyzed, cross-linking finish that's far more durable than anything brushed or rolled on site, with a fraction of the VOCs and odor of an old solvent lacquer. It's also why we can turn a custom color match around in days instead of weeks.

We don't pretend to do everything ourselves. Boxes are ours. Doors and drawer fronts are built to our specification by Corona Millworks, and hardware is Blum throughout — both better at their piece than a general shop would be. Everything comes back here to be sanded, sprayed, and cured as one matched set.

It also keeps the mess out of your house. By the time cabinets arrive at the job, they're finished, cured, and ready to set.
